This giant light board sign has become a staple of our trips in and out of Dulles airport with the team. From “Rock the Red” to “Go Caps Go” - we have seen it all. Tonight - Chris T. Goodman (who might be the mastermind of this whole thing) Tweets out the new message we will see when we land: 1 Team, 1 Goal, 1 Cup. Huge win. Get ready for Wednesday night. Wheels up.

A total of 450 minutes and 28 seconds of hockey were played in this series. And for 308 minutes and 47 seconds of that time, the score was tied. That represents more than two-thirds of the entire series.
The Caps had the only two-goal lead of the entire seven-game set. It came in Game 5, and it lasted all of 2:54.
Caps are celebrating a 3-2 overtime win compliments of captain Alex Ovechkin. Troy Brouwer also had two goals- his first goals in 13 games. Ovechkin, Brouwer and Michal Neuvirth are first, second and third stars, respectively.

Everyone loses!
Please be sellers. I don’t know how it came to this. But it is broken. And no bandaid is going to do anything more than maybe providing a quick exit playoff trip. Not sure you have to completely blow it up, but time to retool at least.
Hats out on the Verizon Center ice for Dennis Wideman who notches the hat trick tonight with 1:19 left in the game, putting the Caps ahead 4-2 on the PP.
